Slenda: I have lived in La Mamola,Costa Tropical, Spain now for 7 years.It a small coastal village with a population of around 1000 people. There are about a dozen British living in the village although there are other British spread around the mountain villages of the area.This is a typically Spanish resort that originally relied on Fish for its main income. The villagers and the village are very kind and friendly and its a very Family orientated community.When I decided to take early retirement and move to Spain I searched for a few years to find the perfect place and perfect environment to be happy in. I found that, in my house in La Mamola, and although there have been some difficult times here over the years. I only have to return to my house on the mountain to realise that I could not be luckier to have found such a beautiful retreat in the sunshine. Its a period of my life I will always treasure even if I move on from here in the future.
